With over 16 years of participation, The PIT is the official student cheering section of Archbishop Mitty Athletics and are the largest student organization on campus, boasting more than 500 members in 2023-24. Moving into the 2024-25 school year, the PIT is a location for ALL Mitty students to come out and support the #1 athletic program in the state of California (according to MaxPreps). This is the best way for AMHS students to participate in the success of our championship athletics program.
While the PIT is for all students, some students can join as PIT Premium members. Premium members are entitiled to receive:
- PIT Premium ID card (which serves as a second campus ID)
- Eligibility for in-game raffles
- FREE PIT merchandise (while supplies last)
- EXCLUSIVE access to PIT tailgates, parties and road trips.
- PIT Rewards is a program that provides perks to those members who attend the most Monarch sporting events. Each time a PIT member gets his/her PIT card scanned to enter an Archbishop Mitty athletic event, they receive points that accumulate during the academic year. Your points can be redeemed for great give-aways and prizes!
The PIT looks to accomplish the following goals:
- Increase student spirit on campus and at all Monarch athletic events
- Create a fun, exciting and positive atmosphere for club members and all Monarch fans that will solidify home court/field advantage
- Provide an excellent social opportunity to meet tons of new people through an interest in athletics
- Serve as ambassadors of Archbishop Mitty HS and act with integrity and sportsmanship
