The Archbishop Mitty “I AM” Camp will be hosting a 4-day leadership opportunity for academically driven Black students. Through social, cultural and educational activities, the camp prepares and encourages rising 7th and 8th graders to be leaders in their communities.  Students are empowered to think critically, celebrate their history and explore the opportunities of high school and higher education. This year's camp dates will be June 17, 18, 20, and 21. 

 

The Summer Experiences

  • Conversations about leadership in a historical, present, and future context
  • Experience African Drumming
  • Meet with local officials (schedules pending)
  • Mentorship with current AMHS students and alumni

Monthly Activities

  • AMHS Athletics & Performing Arts events
  • Gospel Night
  • Movie and Pizza Night

Romero Summer Institute

The Romero Institute at Archbishop Mitty High School is a one week summer leadership program for high-achieving Latinx students. The program is held the third week in June and creates a unique opportunity for rising 8th graders to explore potential educational possibilities both in high school and college, examine and deepen their cultural identity in a changing world, develop leadership skills and meet with successful Latino role models throughout the Bay Area.
