There are many local and national agencies that work to raise money and collect food and other items for worthy causes. While Mitty students are always encouraged to give when appropriate, service hours are not granted for donating goods or merely participating in drives. However, students in leadership roles in such efforts can earn service hours. In recent years, several students have been actively involved in organizing a team for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. For more information, go to www.relayforlife.org or see Mr. Marheineke in Campus Ministry.
See 1.800 Volunteer.Org or VolunteerMatch for more information on how to connect to local agencies!
