The women’s soccer program has claimed an impressive 18 CCS championships, and the program’s first ever NorCal title in 2024. Two-time World Cup Champion Brandi Chastain ’86 highlights the growing list of Monarchs to take their skills to the next level. The program offers varsity, junior varsity, and freshman teams.
Coach Hanley brings more than 35 years of coaching experience to the program and has led the Monarchs to 10 WCAL championships, eight CCS championships, and the 2024 NorCal title since taking over the women’s soccer program in 2007. Recently, Coach Hanley was named the national girls soccer coach of the year by the National Federation of State High School Associations. Prior to coming to Archbishop Mitty, he coached the women’s soccer program at Bishop O’Dowd High School, leading the school to its first-ever NCS championship. Over the years, Coach Hanley has served as the head coach of the Olympic Development Program, The Olympic Club, and the Bay Oaks Soccer Club. Coach Hanley is also an associate national staff instructor for United Soccer Coaches.
