Field Hockey

The women’s field hockey program continues to be one of the most elite programs in Northern California. Last fall, the Monarchs won the SCVAL championship and advanced to the quarterfinals of the CCS Playoffs. The program offers varsity and junior varsity teams.

Head Coach: Justina Williams

Coach Williams ’95 has led her alma mater to eight CCS championships and ten league titles during more than 25 years of coaching on campus. She attended Stanford University, where she played field hockey and was named the Most Outstanding Senior Female Athlete and a two time NCAA All-American.  Coach Williams has been inducted into the AMHS Hall of Fame in nearly every way possible, including as an individual athlete, with a team, and as a coach. Over the years, Coach Williams has also been named the coach of the year at the league, sectional, and state levels. In addition, Justina holds a Level II coaching certification from USA field hockey and  has served in various capacities for USA Field Hockey as a Futures/Nexus coach and selector for Region 11 and coach at the at the National Futures Championships.
