Archbishop Mitty is pleased to accept charitable contributions from Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs). A Donor-Advised Fund is a philanthropic vehicle that allows a donor to recommend grants to qualified nonprofit organizations. We understand that donors may wish to direct grants from their DAFs to support the mission and programs of our school.

We encourage donors to check with their DAF provider for any specific requirements or forms that may be necessary to complete the donation process. Please note that, as with all charitable contributions, the final decision to approve and distribute a grant from a Donor-Advised Fund rests with the DAF sponsor.
If you have any questions or need assistance with a DAF donation, please contact us at 408-342-4378.
The best stocks to donate are those that have increased greatly in value, particularly those producing a low yield. If you donate property that has risen in value and that you've held for more than one year, you pay no capital gains tax on the transaction. You can also take an income tax deduction for the full fair market value of the stock.
If you have stock losses, sell the stock yourself to realize the loss and take the deduction for tax purposes. Then generate a charitable contribution deduction by donating the cash proceeds of the sale to us. You can download Stock Transfer Instructions (pdf) to assist you.
Many corporations are now willing to support private secondary education by matching your gift, often as much as two or three times your contribution. Your employer can advise you if your company has a matching gift program, or you can check our database to see if your company provides matching gift opportunities.
Memorial and honorarium gifts offer an opportunity to honor a relative, friend, or a business associate. Any special occasion--birthday, anniversary, graduation, and other accomplishments are times to remember. Email Mr. Keith Mathews Vice President of Advancement, for more information.
