Transfer Application

 

To Prospective Transfer Students,

Thank you for your interest in Archbishop Mitty High School. The transfer application opens in January, 2025, and we rolling admissions decisions for the 2025-2026 school year will begin in April 2025.  Admission for 10th and 11th grades is on a space available basis.  We are unable to accommodate 12th grade transfer applicants.

To learn more about the process, receive updated information about events, and register for Open House you will need to create a Ravenna account.

If your family may require assistance in funding an Archbishop Mitty Catholic, college preparatory education, please complete a tuition assistance application on or before February 2, 2024. For more information on tuition assistance, please visit the tuition assistance section of our website.

Please create a Ravenna Account to complete the online application form.

Transcript Requests and Standardized Testing

Please request a complete official transcript from your school’s registrar using the form on Ravenna after the first semester of the 2023-2024 school year. Incomplete transcripts will not be accepted. All standardized testing taken during the applicants 7th grade, 8th grade, and high school years should be submitted with the student’s transcripts.

Application Recommendation Forms

Recommendations are to be completed online by the student's current English and Math teacher. 

To begin the online recommendation process with Ravenna, please log in to your Ravenna account and follow the steps.

Archbishop Mitty High School does not require non-academic recommendations. If you would like to submit information regarding an applicant's extra-curricular involvement, you may done through Ravenna; however, this is not required as part of the application process.

Admissions Criteria

Archbishop Mitty High School is a Catholic college preparatory and preference is given to Catholic applicants. Admission to Archbishop Mitty High School is comprehensive; in particular, the Admissions Committee considers the following criteria when making admissions decisions:

  • High school transcripts inclusive of the first semester of the current school year (No marks lower than C; 3.0 grade point average or higher is strongly recommended)
  • Strength and conduciveness of the applicant's college preparatory course load
  • Standardized testing scores from junior high and/or the High School Placement Test
  • Teacher recommendations
  • Student-reported activities and special talents
  • Clean attendance and discipline record
