To keep parents and students informed of student progress, teachers will be distributing paper copies of Student Summary Grade Reports (what you are used to seeing on WebGrade) on December 7th & 8th, and December 14th & 15th.

Your students are responsible for sharing these grade sheets with you, so please be sure to ask your students for them. As always, if you have any concerns about your student's progress in a given course, please contact his or her teacher directly. All teacher contact information can be found by clicking here.

Transcripts have not been impacted by the WebGrade outage and will be sent on time to the appropriate colleges and universities. More information about semester grade distribution will be included in next week's Weekly Update.

2016-2017 Financial Aid Application Now Available

We are pleased to announce the online Financial Aid Application for the 2016-2017 school year is now available on mitty.com.
All families requesting financial aid will be directed to the school's website to create an account with PSAS, the outside service the Diocese of San Jose retains to collect and evaluate levels of financial need. If you are new to the program, you will be asked to provide an email address and a password. For families that filed for financial aid last year, you can access your account as a returning applicant by using your login information. Once you have created an account, you can login when convenient; fill out the application, update, change and save information; track your progress; and communicate directly with helpful and knowledgeable staff members at PSAS. For returning applicants, your previous information has been saved for easy reference. The application is easy to navigate, the instructions are clear, it's available in English and Spanish, and only one application per family is required. This process has been mainstreamed to provide a faster, simpler, friendlier service to our families.

It's "4 in 4" for Women's Volleyball
The women's varsity volleyball team completed an historic "four-peat" on Saturday night in the Santiago Canyon College gym as it won its fourth consecutive CIF Division II State Championship. The Monarchs defeated Village Christian High School of Sun Valley (CIF South Regional Champs) 25-21, 22-25, 25-11, 25-16 to claim their historic 12th state title. As is their style, it was a total team effort, with key contributions coming from both the starters and the bench. With their victory, the Monarchs become only the fifth program to win four state championships on the bounce.

The win wraps up another trophy-laden season that saw the team post an amazing 35 wins against 5 losses on the way to capturing the league, section, and regional crowns to go with its CIF banner. Congratulations to head coach Bret Almazan-Cezar, his entire staff, and the team for another glorious fall campaign.

Women's Soccer Start on the Front Foot
A pair of shut out wins has the women's varsity soccer team off to a good start on its 2015-2016 season. The Monarchs opened their schedule last Thursday with a 3-0 win away at Leland High School. Goals from sophomores Paris Fox and Bri Robles, along with a goal and assist from junior Amaya Zabalza, paced the Monarchs to a comfortable win over the host Chargers at Pat Tillman Stadium.

On Saturday, the team returned to Fr. Russi Field for its home opener. Sophomore Sophia Mendoza notched the game's only goal with a cool finish in the 58th minute to grab the points for the Monarchs.

The team will have a week off before heading to Willow Glen High School next Monday for a 3:30 p.m. match versus the Rams.
